How will I get the software once I purchase it? If you have not already done so, you will want to download the demo of Crossword Weaver. After you purchase, you are given an unlock code. When you type that unlock code into the demonstration of Crossword Weaver, then you immediately have the full program.

Can I get a CD? We used to offer a CD that contained the downloadable demo. Today nearly everyone has access to a CD burner or USB flash drive. If you want a backup copy or if you have a computer that can't download, you can put the downloadable demo files on a CD or USB flash drive and use that to install the software. If you keep a copy of your unlock code with it, then you will always have a backup of the full program. This is because the full program is the demo unlocked.
You can also go online any time you wish and download the most current version of Crossword Weaver. Your unlock code will unlock any version of the program, even newer versions.

Why does the program ask me for a license number/unlock code? How do I get a license number/unlock code?
An unlock code is used by the program to convert the demo into the full program. After you purchase, you will be given an unlock code. To order, contact us or order here.

Once I purchase, how long do I have the program for? There is no expiration date. If you ever lose the product, you can download the demo again and type in your licensing information, which is your licensee name and unlock code. If you lost this information, visit our self-help tool to look it up instantly or request a manual search.

Can I make a crossword puzzle using only my words? If you create a free-form style crossword, the program will use only your words. If you use a professional newspaper style puzzle, it will mix some of your words with a high quality puzzle to create a themed crossword puzzle.

How challenging are the puzzles to solve? The difficulty of the free-form puzzles depends solely on which words you use and how you clue them. For newspaper-style puzzles, even those that find normal published puzzles too difficult will be able to solve the puzzles you make with Crossword Weaver. You can control the difficulty level by writing easier clues.

Do I have to write my own clues? If you are creating free-form puzzles, you will need to write all or most of the clues for the puzzle. If you are creating a newspaper-style puzzle, the software will automatically write clues for all or most of the words for you. You can choose from alternates, or write your own.

Does Crossword Weaver support foreign words? Yes it does. You can choose up to 5 foreign characters to use in your puzzle making it possible to create foreign language puzzles for languages that are based mostly on the Roman alphabet.

I can't download the demo, but I want to try the product. What do I do? Try using a different computer to download the demo. If necessary you may even have to go through a different Internet service provider. You can use a USB flash drive or CD-ROM to install the software on a computer that was unable to download it.
